Description

The Wigiwama Moon Chair arrives in three pieces and takes about as much time to assemble as a child needs to decide where they want to sit. The rounded, cradle-like shape creates a children's moon chair that encloses rather than just supports, a useful distinction when the afternoon calls for something quieter than the rest of the room. The three-piece build also gives children a brief construction moment before they settle in, which tends to increase investment in the end result.

Two fabric options are available across the full colour range. Corduroy is wide-wale, made from recycled PET bottles, and carries both OEKO-TEX and GRS certification. Teddy uses 100% polyester with a soft, plush surface and OEKO-TEX certification. Both cover the same ISO-certified high-density polyurethane foam filling, which gives the chair enough structure to hold its shape through daily use without sacrificing the give that makes it worth sitting in.

Dimensions are 80cm wide, 65cm deep, and 55cm high, a substantial seat that works for children of all ages. The cover fastens with a zip, removes easily for washing, and returns without difficulty. Made in Latvia alongside the rest of the Wigiwama range, the Moon Chair follows the same materials standard as the brand's smaller and larger pieces, from the Cloud Pouffe through to the Settee.

Corduroy fabric carries OEKO-TEX certification and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), made from recycled PET bottles. Teddy fabric is OEKO-TEX certified, 100% polyester. Foam filling is ISO-certified high-density polyurethane. Suitable for children of all ages.

Why Nestoro Loves This

The three-piece structure is a small detail that makes a real difference: it gives children a moment of involvement before the chair becomes theirs, and makes it noticeably easier to move between rooms. That, combined with the consistent material certifications across the Wigiwama range, is the kind of considered design that earns the price rather than just justifying it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age is the Wigiwama Moon Chair suitable for?

It is suitable for children of all ages. At 80cm wide and 55cm high it is a generous size that works for toddlers and older children alike, and the enclosed moon shape provides good support for children who want to curl up or sit upright.

How many pieces does it come in and how is it assembled?

The Moon Chair is made from three separate foam pieces that fit together without tools. Assembly is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. Children enjoy putting it together themselves before settling in. The pieces also make it easier to carry between rooms.

What is the difference between the Corduroy and Teddy options?

Corduroy is wide-wale fabric made from recycled PET bottles, certified to both OEKO-TEX and GRS standards. Teddy is 100% polyester with a soft, plush surface and OEKO-TEX certification. Both options use the same ISO-certified high-density foam filling and are manufactured in Latvia.

Can the cover be removed and washed?

Yes. The cover fastens with a zip and removes easily for washing. Follow the care instructions for the specific fabric. Air dry only. Do not bleach or tumble dry. For Teddy fabric, a light brush after washing helps restore the texture.

Does the Moon Chair sit alongside other Wigiwama products?

Yes. The Corduroy and Teddy colours are consistent across the Wigiwama range, so the Moon Chair can be matched with the Cloud Pouffe, Beanbag Chair, Rainbow Playset, and Settee in the same colourway. The materials standard is also shared across the range: OEKO-TEX fabric, ISO foam, made in Latvia.
