MINICAMP Kids Playmat with Ruffled Border in Grey

Floor play tends to spread across a whole room unless something marks out where it happens. This round mat does that in a soft grey cotton with a ruffled edge, made to go with MINICAMP’s play tents and calm enough to sit in a nursery or playroom on its own.

Made from 100% unbleached cotton, the playmat provides a naturally soft surface that is comfortable for play, reading, or relaxing. Its generous 125 cm diameter offers plenty of space for little ones to enjoy independent play or quiet moments inside a play tent.

The playmat is filled with OEKO-TEX certified polyester padding, making it breathable, hypoallergenic, and gentle on sensitive skin. Durable enough for everyday use yet soft and cosy, it’s designed for both comfort and practicality.

Each MINICAMP playmat is carefully hand-sewn in a family workshop in Lithuania, reflecting high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design made to last.

Grey is a hard colour to get right in a children's room, because it can look flat very quickly. This mat avoids that through texture: the ruffled border catches the light and gives the edge some movement, so the grey reads as soft rather than dull.

It is also the colour we would pick for a busy family room, as it sits as easily under a grey teepee as it does on pale wooden boards, and it goes in the washing machine at 30°C.

What age is this playmat suitable for?

MINICAMP states it is not suitable for children under 36 months, so it is designed for children from 3 years.

How big is the playmat?

It measures 125 cm (49 in) across, including the ruffled border, and about 1.5 cm deep. It is a lightly padded mat rather than a thick cushion, with plenty of room for a child to sit or lie down with a book.

Does it fit inside a MINICAMP teepee?

MINICAMP designed it to go with its play tents. At 125 cm it is slightly wider than the 120 cm inside diameter of the Fairy Play Teepee, so the ruffle sits just outside the entrance. The teepee is not included.

What is it made from?

The fabric is 100% unbleached cotton and the padding is polyester (PES) wadding, both OEKO-TEX certified. Each mat is hand-sewn in MINICAMP's family workshop in Lithuania.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at 30°C, air dry, and do not tumble dry. If you want to smooth the ruffle, iron it while still damp at a low temperature (110°C or less).
