MINICAMP Padded Kids Play Mat in Ecru with Tassels

Reading corners and play spaces are usually put together from whatever is to hand, and the floor is often the last part anyone thinks about. This mat gives that floor a padded, finished surface in soft ecru cotton with a cotton tassel border, suited to a nursery, playroom or reading corner.

Made from 100% unbleached cotton, the playmat offers a soft and natural surface for children to play, sit, or relax. The generous circular design provides plenty of space for everyday play while blending effortlessly with modern children’s interiors.

Inside, OEKO-TEX certified polyester padding provides a comfortable cushioned base that is breathable, hypoallergenic, and gentle on sensitive skin. Built for everyday family life, the playmat is also easy to maintain with simple machine washing.

Hand-sewn in a family workshop in Lithuania, each MINICAMP playmat reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and long-lasting quality.

A tassel border is what moves this mat from practical to decorative. Laid on the floor beside a bed or under a teepee, it looks like a rug chosen for the room, yet it is still a soft, padded surface for play.

We also like that every part of it, fabric, tassels and padding, is OEKO-TEX certified, and that it goes straight in the washing machine at 30°C.

What age is this playmat suitable for?

MINICAMP recommends it from 3 years. It is not suitable for children under 36 months.

What size is it?

It measures 115 cm (45 in) across, tassels included, and about 1.5 cm deep. It is a lightly padded floor mat, so it lies flat and works on carpet or wooden floors.

Will it fit inside a play teepee?

Yes. At 115 cm it sits inside MINICAMP's Fairy Play Teepee, which has a 120 cm inside diameter. The teepee is sold separately.

What are the tassels made from?

The tassels are 100% cotton, like the mat itself, and both are OEKO-TEX certified. The padding inside is OEKO-TEX certified polyester (PES) wadding.

How do I clean it?

Machine wash at 30°C, air dry, and do not tumble dry. Iron while damp at a low temperature (110°C or less) if needed, and smooth the tassels out while the mat dries.
