A first Christmas tends to be photographed from every angle and then remembered in surprisingly few details. A bauble with a name on it is one of the simplest ways to hold on to the year itself, because it comes back out of the box every December and tells the story again.

This ceramic bauble carries the words "my 1st Christmas" in a soft script framed by scattered stars, with your baby's name beneath them in the colour of the design. Choose gold and blue stars or gold and pink stars. The reverse has room for a four-line message of up to 20 characters per line, which is where most families add a date, a short note or who it is from.

The name on the front can be up to 12 characters. Personalisation is case sensitive and printed exactly as you type it, so it is worth checking the spelling and capitals before you add it to your basket. The words "my 1st Christmas" are part of the design and cannot be changed.

At around 6cm across, it is small enough to sit among the rest of the tree without taking it over, and it arrives with a ribbon so it is ready to hang. The style of the bauble topper may vary from the photographs.

Ceramic can chip or break if it is dropped, so hang it from a sturdy branch and wrap it in tissue when you pack the decorations away.
